’Round About Midnight marked Miles Davis’ Columbia debut and features one of the defining jazz ensembles of the era: Miles Davis on trumpet, John Coltrane on tenor saxophone, Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on bass and Philly Joe Jones on drums.

The matching 1A/1A matrices are an especially desirable feature for collectors seeking an early pressing.

The label variation has the album title and artist arranged across four lines above the spindle hole. The Side A label gives the opening track as “Round Midnight,” while the original jacket uses “’Round About Midnight.”

Fully play tested. The record plays completely without skips or pops, although persistent surface noise is audible throughout. Vinyl retains good gloss and has been conservatively graded G+ based primarily on playback.
