Description

America America vinyl presents the group’s classic 1971 debut album in this attractive early-1980s U.S. Warner Bros. Winchester repress.

America’s debut introduced the distinctive acoustic folk-rock harmonies of Dewey Bunnell, Gerry Beckley and Dan Peek. The album includes “A Horse with No Name,” “I Need You,” “Sandman,” “Riverside,” “Three Roses” and other early favorites.

This copy is an early-1980s Warner Bros. repress identified by its distinctive white labels featuring multiple pale WB shield watermarks. This label design replaced the horizontal lines used on earlier Warner Bros. labels and eliminated the perimeter text.

The labels carry catalog number BS 2576 with RE-1.

The vinyl grades VG+ and has been fully play-tested. Playback is very good, with some surface noise audible during quieter passages.

The cover is a strong VG+ approaching NM- and is particularly attractive, with excellent overall presentation and only light age/storage wear.

Exact matrix/runout information:

Side A:
BS-1-2576 WW3. .─◁

Side B:
BS-2-2576 WW3 SR 1-1 .─◁

The Winchester pressing symbol appears in both runouts.

An excellent playing copy of America’s landmark debut album and an attractive example of this later Warner Bros. repress.
