What Happens When You Decide to Skip Christmas?

Luther and Nora Krank have had enough of the holiday frenzy.

With their daughter away for the season, they decide to do something completely unexpected: skip Christmas altogether.

No decorations. No tree. No shopping. No holiday parties.

Instead, they’re going to spend the money on a Caribbean cruise!

But their neighbors have other ideas, and the Kranks soon discover that escaping Christmas traditions may be harder than they imagined.

John Grisham trades courtroom drama for holiday comedy in this warm, witty story about family, community, and the sometimes overwhelming expectations of the Christmas season.

The Novel Behind Christmas with the Kranks

Skipping Christmas was adapted into the 2004 holiday comedy Christmas with the Kranks, starring Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis.

For fans of the film, this original novel makes a wonderful holiday reading choice or Christmas gift.
