Description
George Benson Livin’ Inside Your Love vinyl is a superb 1979 double-LP showcase for Benson’s signature blend of jazz, soul, R&B and sophisticated pop. Produced by Tommy LiPuma and recorded and mixed by Al Schmitt, the album features an exceptional supporting cast including Earl Klugh, Ronnie Foster, Jorge Dalto, Ralph MacDonald, Will Lee and Greg Phillinganes.
This vintage Warner Bros. 2LP pressing has been play-tested. Both records play VG++ to NM-, with only very slight surface noise audible during some quiet passages. The gatefold cover grades VG+, primarily due to the cutout corner shown in the photos. Both original Warner Bros. inner sleeves are included.
Highlights include “Livin’ Inside Your Love,” “Love Ballad,” “Nassau Day,” “A Change Is Gonna Come,” “Before You Go,” and “Unchained Melody.” The four sides carry TML-S / TML-S / TML-M / TML-M mastering marks, with the complete Variant 7 matrix information verified directly from this copy.
A terrific copy of one of George Benson’s finest late-1970s albums and an excellent addition for collectors of jazz-funk, soul-jazz and classic Warner Bros. vinyl.
