Chick Corea Return to Forever vinyl on ECM Records, catalog ECM-1-1022. A landmark early jazz fusion recording featuring the original Return to Forever lineup of Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Joe Farrell, Flora Purim and Airto Moreira.
Produced by Manfred Eicher, Return to Forever combines Corea’s electric piano with Brazilian rhythms, jazz improvisation and the distinctive vocals of Flora Purim. The result became one of the defining recordings of early-’70s jazz fusion and launched one of the era’s most important jazz groups.
This copy features Wakefield mastering/pressing markings in the runouts, including the distinctive Wakefield tulip logo.
