The Rolling Stones – Metamorphosis (1975)

Description

Rolling Stones Metamorphosis 1975 ABKCO pressing in excellent collector condition, featuring glossy NM- vinyl, a VG+ cover and the original promotional inner sleeve.

Released by ABKCO in 1975, Metamorphosis collects Rolling Stones recordings originating from their 1960s sessions, including alternate and previously unreleased material.

This U.S. copy features the light-blue ABKCO labels and catalog number ANA-1.

The vinyl is NM-, retaining excellent gloss with very little evidence of play. The cover is VG+, presenting beautifully overall with light age and corner wear plus a small crease near the upper-left edge.

Also included is the original Metamorphosis T-shirt offer inner sleeve, complete with its circular mail-order coupon still intact—an excellent addition often missing from surviving copies.

Exact Matrix / Runout:
Side A label: ANA-1A P
Side B label: ANA-1B P
Side A: P ANA-1AX DFWK A
Side B: P : ANA 1B X B 3 DFWK

An interesting production error appears on the rear sleeve: “I Don’t Know Why” is incorrectly credited to Jagger/Richards/Taylor. The record label provides the correct Wonder/Hunter/Riser/Hardaway songwriting credit.

Highlights include “Out of Time,” “Heart of Stone,” “Jiving Sister Fanny,” “Memo From Turner” and “I Don’t Know Why.”
