Description
Miles Davis Bitches Brew 1970 vinyl in exceptional collector condition. This original US Columbia GP 26 double LP is a first pressing featuring the classic red Columbia “two-eye” 360 Sound stereo labels.
Pressed at Columbia Records’ Terre Haute plant, this copy has a remarkable matching set of early -1B matrices on all four sides:
Side A — XSM152412-1B T
Side B — XSM152413-1B T
Side C — XSM152414-1B T
Side D — XSM152415-1B T
The T runout marking identifies the Terre Haute pressing plant. This early pressing also retains the two songwriter credits on “Sanctuary.”
The two records are in exceptional NM- condition and have been fully play tested on all four sides. Playback is outstanding throughout, with the vinyl retaining beautiful gloss.
The original gatefold jacket grades VG++, showing modest age-related shelf and edge wear while remaining exceptionally attractive. The dramatic Mati Klarwein artwork presents beautifully, and the gatefold interior grades NM-.
The set also includes its original Columbia inner sleeves.
Produced by Teo Macero, Bitches Brew was released in March 1970 and became one of Miles Davis’ defining works, bringing together an extraordinary ensemble including Wayne Shorter, Joe Zawinul, Chick Corea, John McLaughlin, Dave Holland, Jack DeJohnette, Lenny White, Bennie Maupin and others.
An exceptional original pressing for the serious Miles Davis, jazz, jazz-fusion or vintage vinyl collector.
