Description

Jimi Hendrix Hendrix in the West vinyl – 1972 Early U.S. Reprise Pressing

Jimi Hendrix Hendrix in the West vinyl captures some of Hendrix’s most electrifying live performances on the original 1972 Reprise Records release.

This early U.S. pressing, catalog MS 2049, features the original eight-track program, orange Reprise labels and STERLING mastering on both sides.

The album opens with Hendrix’s interpretation of “The Queen,” followed by his explosive version of the Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.” “Little Wing” provides a beautiful contrast before the first side closes with a remarkable 13-minute performance of “Red House.”

Side Two continues with “Johnny B. Goode,” “Lover Man,” “Blue Suede Shoes” and “Voodoo Chile.”
