Officially titled Chicago IX: Chicago’s Greatest Hits, the collection draws from the band’s first eight studio albums and includes an extraordinary run of familiar tracks: “25 or 6 to 4,” “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?,” “Colour My World,” “Just You ‘N’ Me,” “Saturday in the Park,” “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day,” “Make Me Smile,” “Wishing You Were Here,” “Call on Me,” “(I’ve Been) Searchin’ So Long,” and “Beginnings.”
This copy is a 1975 U.S. Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Pittman pressing, catalog number PC 33900, featuring the distinctive custom Chicago labels. The Pittman pressing is identified by the P stamped into the Side A runout.
The vinyl is particularly attractive, grading VG++ approaching NM-, with beautiful gloss and minimal signs of handling. It has been fully play tested and delivers very good, clean sound throughout.
The predominantly white cover grades VG++ and remains exceptionally attractive for a 1975 jacket. The original printed inner sleeve is also present and grades VG++.
