Donald Fagen – The Nightfly (1982)

Description

Donald Fagen The Nightfly vinyl is presented here in an excellent 1982 U.S. Warner Bros. pressing featuring the highly regarded MASTERDISK RL mastering by Robert Ludwig.

Fagen’s first solo album following Steely Dan is both a musical and recording landmark. Recorded and mixed entirely on 3M digital 32-track and 4-track machines, The Nightfly combines Fagen’s meticulously constructed songs with an extraordinary cast of studio musicians.

This copy has been fully play-tested and sounds outstanding. The NM- vinyl retains beautiful gloss and plays exceptionally cleanly, with only very slight surface noise during some quiet passages.

The VG+ jacket remains attractive with normal light age and storage wear. Also included is the original custom printed lyric and musician-credit inner sleeve, grading NM-.

Among the musicians are Larry Carlton, Jeff Porcaro, Steve Gadd, Marcus Miller, Greg Phillinganes, Hugh McCracken, Rick Derringer, Michael Brecker and Randy Brecker.
