An outstanding one-owner copy of Gregg Allman’s major 1987 comeback album, I’m No Angel.
This copy was purchased new in 1987, played once, protected and carefully stored for nearly four decades. The vinyl remains exceptionally clean and glossy and has now been fully play-tested, delivering excellent sound throughout.
The album reunited Gregg with a formidable road-tested band featuring guitarist Dan Toler, drummer David “Frankie” Toler, bassist Bruce Waibel, keyboardist Tim Heding and percussionist Chaz Trippy. Gregg handles lead vocals, Hammond B-3 and acoustic guitar. Produced and engineered by Rodney Mills, the album was recorded and mixed at Criteria Studios in Miami.
Highlights include the signature title track “I’m No Angel,” “Anything Goes,” “Evidence of Love,” “Things That Might Have Been,” “Lead Me On,” and a return to the Allman Brothers classic “It’s Not My Cross to Bear.” The album also includes “Don’t Want You No More,” another link back to the earliest Allman Brothers repertoire.
The original printed inner sleeve is included, featuring lyrics and credits on one side and the distinctive Gregg Allman portrait by Linda Evans Phillips on the reverse.
