Description
Jethro Tull Minstrel in the Gallery vinyl LP from 1975 captures the band at the height of its progressive-rock period, combining Ian Anderson’s acoustic songwriting and distinctive flute with elaborate arrangements and a harder electric edge.
The album opens with the eight-minute title track and includes “Cold Wind to Valhalla,” “Black Satin Dancer,” “Requiem” and “One White Duck / 0¹⁰ = Nothing at All.” Side Two is dominated by the ambitious “Baker St. Muse,” one of the album’s centerpiece compositions.
This is a 1975 U.S. Chrysalis Records pressing manufactured at Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Santa Maria. The S appearing in both runouts identifies Santa Maria, while the stamped o indicates Customatrix metalwork.
The vinyl grades VG++ to NM- and has been fully play tested. It plays beautifully with excellent sound throughout, with only very slight surface noise audible during a few quiet passages.
The distinctive album cover is an exceptionally clean NM-, while the original custom photo and lyric inner sleeve is also NM-. The upside-down photograph on the rear cover is part of the album’s original artwork.
