Description
Jethro Tull Under Wraps vinyl captures the legendary progressive-rock band at one of the most distinctive points in its long career.
Released in 1984, Under Wraps found Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull embracing the unmistakable sound of the decade. Synthesizers, electronic percussion and Peter Vettese’s keyboards play a major role, while Anderson’s songwriting and vocals keep the album unmistakably Tull. From the opening moments of “Lap of Luxury,” this is Jethro Tull with the Big ’80s sound.
This excellent U.S. Chrysalis Records copy was pressed at Pitman and features STERLING mastering stamped in the runouts on both sides.
The vinyl grades VG++ and has been fully play-tested. It plays beautifully, with only very slight surface noise audible in a few quiet passages. The glossy textured cover is VG++, and the original printed lyric inner sleeve is also VG++.
Highlights include “Lap of Luxury,” “Under Wraps #1,” “European Legacy,” “Later, That Same Evening,” “Radio Free Moscow,” “Nobody’s Car” and “Apogee.”
