Description
Talking Heads True Stories vinyl from 1986, presented here in exceptional Near Mint condition as a U.S. Allied Record Company pressing on Sire Records.
This copy comes from a personal collection and was played only once before being taped closed and stored. The vinyl remains exceptionally clean and has been play-tested with amazing, clear sound.
The jacket grades Near Mint and retains beautiful color and presentation. The original heavy cardboard photo and credits inner sleeve is also Near Mint, making this a particularly attractive complete copy.
True Stories was produced and performed by Talking Heads and features David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth and Jerry Harrison.
The album includes “Wild Wild Life,” “Radio Head,” “People Like Us,” “Love for Sale,” “Puzzlin’ Evidence,” “Dream Operator” and “City of Dreams.”
This U.S. pressing was manufactured by Allied Record Company and can be identified by its runout markings.
Side A:
1-25512-A RE1-SH4 1-1 △13574 B-24657-Re1 SH4
Side B:
1-25512-B-RE2 SH2 1-1 △13574-X [Allied ɑ logo] B-24658-Re2-SH2
The catalog number 1-25512 appears on the labels, while 9 25512-1 appears on the spine and original inner sleeve.
An unusual feature of the original packaging is that the front and back artwork are oriented opposite one another. When one side is upright, the other appears upside down.
The label also incorrectly lists “Radio Head” with a running time of 3:14.
With Near Mint vinyl, jacket and original inner sleeve, this is an exceptionally well-preserved copy of one of Talking Heads’ final studio albums of the 1980s.
