The Police – Ghost in the Machine (1981)

Description

The Police Ghost in the Machine 1981 vinyl in outstanding collector condition, featuring true NM vinyl, a glossy VG+ cover and the original illustrated inner sleeve in NM condition.

Released by A&M Records in 1981, Ghost in the Machine was The Police’s fourth studio album and includes some of the band’s most recognizable recordings, including “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic,” “Spirits in the Material World,” “Invisible Sun” and “Secret Journey.”

This U.S. copy has been fully play-tested. The vinyl is a true Near Mint (NM) example — exceptionally clean, glossy and playing beautifully throughout.

The distinctive high-gloss black outer jacket is graded VG+. It remains exceptionally clean and glossy with strong overall presentation, showing some edge/corner wear and creasing consistent with its age.

The striking original custom circuit-board/photo inner sleeve is present and grades NM, making this a particularly attractive complete copy.

The deadwax is especially interesting. Side A carries the stamped COLUMBIA NY marking, while Side B carries an etched matrix along with a stamped STERLING mastering mark.
