Description

Chicago Chicago II vinyl from 1970, presented here as the original U.S. Columbia KGP 24 double-LP issue with red “2-Eye” 360 Sound labels and the original fold-out poster.

Officially titled Chicago but universally known as Chicago II, the band’s second album expanded the ambitious combination of rock, jazz and brass arrangements that established Chicago as one of the most distinctive American bands of the era.

This copy is especially appealing because the original package remains together.

Both records grade VG++ and retain strong gloss with some visible scuffs. They have been fully play-tested and sound amazing, with only slight surface noise noticeable during quieter passages.

The distinctive metallic gatefold cover grades VG++ and presents extremely well, while the gatefold interior is also VG++.

Most importantly, the original large fold-out band poster is still present and grades a beautiful NM-. Both original Columbia advertising inner sleeves are also included and grade VG+.

The album includes several of Chicago’s defining recordings, including “25 or 6 to 4,” “Make Me Smile,” “Colour My World,” “Wake Up Sunshine,” “Movin’ In” and “In the Country.”

Produced by James William Guercio, Chicago II showcases the original lineup including Terry Kath, Robert Lamm, Peter Cetera, Walter Parazaider, Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Danny Seraphine.
