Originally released in 1982, Run for the Roses was Jerry Garcia’s fourth and final full-length solo studio album.
Produced by Garcia and longtime collaborator John Kahn, the album mixes Garcia/Robert Hunter originals with inspired interpretations of songs by the Beatles, Clyde McPhatter and Bob Dylan. The sessions also feature familiar Garcia collaborators including John Kahn, Ron Tutt, Merl Saunders and Melvin Seals.
This Round Records/Jerry Garcia Family black-vinyl reissue was remastered by Fred Kevorkian and presents the album in exceptionally clean condition.
