Description
Nils Lofgren Nils vinyl from 1979, pressed in the U.S. for A&M Records and featuring MASTERDISK RL mastering by Bob Ludwig on Side A.
Produced by Bob Ezrin in association with Brian Christian and the band, Nils captures Lofgren during an excellent period of his solo career. The album combines his distinctive guitar playing with polished late-1970s rock production and includes “No Mercy,” “Baltimore,” “Shine Silently” and “A Fool Like Me.”
The supporting musicians include Tom Lofgren, Stu Daye, Bob Babbitt and Alan Schwartzberg. Guest musicians include David Sanborn on saxophone on “A Fool Like Me” and Doug Riley on organ on “Baltimore.” Lou Reed also shares songwriting credits on several tracks.
This copy is an RCA Records Pressing Plant, Indianapolis pressing, identified by the stamped “I” in the runouts. Side A carries the MASTERDISK RL inscription identifying Bob Ludwig’s mastering work.
The vinyl grades VG++ and has been fully play-tested. Playback is clear and crisp with great overall sound, with slight surface noise audible during some quieter passages.
The cover grades VG+ with normal shelf, edge and handling wear. The original custom printed photo/credit inner sleeve is included and also grades VG+.
