Description
Stevie Wonder Talking Book vinyl from 1972, presented here as a beautiful U.S. Superior Press repress with VG+ vinyl and a Near Mint minus gatefold cover.
Talking Book stands among the defining albums of Stevie Wonder’s extraordinary 1970s creative period. The album combines soul, funk and groundbreaking keyboard and synthesizer work with some of Wonder’s most enduring songwriting.
The record opens with “You Are the Sunshine of My Life,” while Side Two begins with the unmistakable “Superstition.” Other highlights include “Maybe Your Baby,” “You and I,” “Tuesday Heartbreak” and “I Believe (When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever).”
This copy is the 1972 U.S. Superior Press repress on Tamla, catalog number T 319L. It features the gatefold cover without Braille. The T319L catalog number appears above the Tamla logo on the lower-left corner of the front cover and is also printed on the spine.
This variation does not have a stamped “H” in the runouts.
Another identifying detail appears on Side A. The label credits “You’ve Got It Bad Girl” only to Y. Wright, while the inside gatefold credits the composition to Yvonne Wright and Stevie Wonder.
The vinyl grades VG+ and has been fully play-tested. Sound quality is excellent, with only slight surface noise noticeable during quiet passages. The gatefold cover grades NM- and remains exceptionally attractive.
