Description
The Moody Blues This Is The Moody Blues vinyl is a 1984 U.S. Threshold Records reissue of the band’s acclaimed double-LP retrospective, originally compiled and released in 1974.
Rather than functioning as a conventional greatest-hits collection, This Is The Moody Blues was assembled as a continuous journey through the band’s classic psychedelic and progressive-rock period. The collection incorporates material from their landmark late-1960s and early-1970s albums, with songs sequenced outside their original release order and some material presented in alternate/remixed form.
Across four sides are many of the band’s signature recordings, including “Question,” “The Actor,” “Legend of a Mind,” “Ride My See-Saw,” “Tuesday Afternoon,” “The Story in Your Eyes,” “I’m Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band),” “For My Lady,” and “Nights in White Satin.” The collection also includes “Simple Game.”
This copy is the 1984 U.S. reissue, catalog number 820 007-1 R-2 / 2THS 12, identifiable by its barcode and single-pocket cover rather than the gatefold packaging of the original 1974 U.S. release.
Both records have been fully play tested and grade VG+, with enjoyable playback throughout. The cover grades VG, showing visible shelf wear, edge wear, rubbing and age-related handling as shown in the photographs.
An affordable way to pick up an extensive Moody Blues collection on vinyl — and four sides of classic progressive and psychedelic rock.
